Soft Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. Crisco
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, well beaten
    3/4 c. hot water or black coffee
    1 c. molasses
    4 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream Crisco; add sugar and the egg, well beaten, then the molasses and hot liquid.
    Mix the sifted dry ingredients, spoon onto a warmed, greased pan and bake eight to ten minutes in a moderate oven.
