Funny Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/4 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
2/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1/3 c. milk
3 unbaked pie shells (1 large, 1 medium and 1 small or 3 medium)
1 c. hot water
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
Preparation

Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
Add the shortening, milk and vanilla to the dry ingredients and beat until moist.
Add the egg and the milk and beat until it forms a batter. Pour the batter into the pie shells.
Mix together the hot water, sugar and cocoa to form a syrup.
Divide the syrup evenly and pour it over the cake batter.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes and at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
