Butterscotch Icebox Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cream Crisco, sugar, egg and vanilla together.
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Add to creamed mixture.
    Mix thoroughly. Shape into log.
    Wrap in wax paper.
    Refrigerate 6 hours or overnight.
    May also roll out thin.
    Spread jelly over dough. Reroll, then refrigerate.
    Slice thin.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 11 minutes.
