Foolproof Pastry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1 3/4 c. vegetable shortening
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 egg
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Combine flour, sugar and salt; cut shortening into mixture with a fork.
    In a separate bowl, beat vinegar, egg and water. Pour into flour mixture and stir with a fork until mixture is moistened.
    Shape into a ball, wrap in wax paper and chill for 15 minutes.
    Roll out on a cold pastry board or between two pieces of waxed paper.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 or until golden brown.
    Good crust!
