Bechamel Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. flour
    salt
    white pepper
    fresh parsley
    pinch of nutmeg
    1 Tbsp. minced onion
    6 c. hot milk
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Add onion and simmer a few minutes.
    Stir in flour and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until flour begins to golden.
    Add hot milk, 2 cups at a time, stirring constantly.
    Add remaining ingredients and cook over low heat, stirring frequently, for about 40 minutes.
    Strain through a fine sieve before using.
