Seven Layer Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 qt. shredded lettuce
2 c. chopped tomatoes
2 c. mushroom slices (optional)
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
4 oz. mild Cheddar cheese cubes
1 c. red onion rings
2 c. salad dressing
bacon (optional)
Preparation

In 2-quart serving bowl (glass, if possible), layer lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms, peas (thawed and drained), cheese and onion. Spread salad dressing over onions, sealing to edge of bowl.
Cover and chill several hours or overnight. Garnish with bacon and shredded cheese, if desired.
