Sweet Lime Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 gal. sliced cucumbers
    1 c. slack lime to 1 gal. water
    2 qt. vinegar
    9 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. whole cloves
    1 Tbsp. mixed spices
    1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Pour lime solution over pickles.
    Let stand 24 hours.
    Drain well; wash well.
    Let stand in clear water 3 hours.
    Make a solution of vinegar, sugar, celery seed, cloves, spices and salt. Boil and pour over pickles to leave overnight.
    Boil in solution 35 minutes.
    Seal hot.
