Lemon Cheese Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    3 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    8 egg whites
Preparation
    Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Sift dry ingredients together.
    Add
    flour
    mixture,
    milk and vanilla to\tcreamed
    mixture gradually,
    beating
    after
    each addition. Fold in stiffly beaten
    egg
    whites.
    Spoon
    batter into 3 greased and floured 9-inch layer cake pans.
    Bake until cake tests done. Cool and remove from pans.
