Soft Pretzels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    1 1/2 c. warm water
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    3 1/2 to 4 c. flour
    1 egg, beaten
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast, sugar and salt in water.
    Blend in flour. Place on floured board and knead for 10 minutes.
    Pinch off small strips.
    Roll into 12 ropes.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Brush with beaten egg, then sprinkle with coarse salt.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
