Hot Spiced Fruit - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 stick butter or margarine
    4 tsp. curry powder
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can peach halves
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can pear halves, drained
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can Bing cherries, drained
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can pineapple chunks
    1/2 c. blanched almonds
    1 bottle maraschino cherries
Preparation
    Put butter, curry powder and brown sugar in a saucepan.
    Melt to a syrup.
    Arrange half the fruit in the bottom of an ovenproof casserole dish.
    Pour in half the almonds and half the syrup. Arrange the rest of the fruit on top and add remaining syrup and almonds.
    Garnish the top with the maraschino cherries.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 35 minutes.
    Can be assembled the day before.
    Ready to be heated anytime.
    Serves 10 to 12.
