Homemade Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    1 c. warm water
    1 c. scalded milk, cooled
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. cooled melted shortening
    6 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm milk and water.
    Add sugar, salt, egg and shortening.
    Add 3 cups flour.
    Beat.
    Gradually add remaining flour; turn dough out on lightly floured board.
    Knead until smooth, about 10 minutes.
    Place in greased bowl; brush top with soft shortening.
    Cover.
    Let rise in a warm place until double in bulk (about 1 hour).
    Shape rolls and place on greased baking sheet and let rise again until doubled in size.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
