Ingredients

1 c. butter
1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. chopped almonds
1 tsp. almond extract
2 c. flour
Preparation

Mix thoroughly the first 2 ingredients.
Add flour and almonds.
Mix well.
Knead dough gently for 1/2 minute.
Form 1-inch balls.
Flatten balls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
