Japanese Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. sifted cake flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sweet milk
1 box raisins
1/2 c. cocoa
1/4 lb. candied cherries
6 egg yolks (save egg whites to cover cake)
Preparation

Stir butter to soften.
Add sugar and beat until fluffy.
Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each.
Add vanilla. Sift together baking powder, flour and cocoa.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
Blend in raisins and candied cherries.
