Pumpkin Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. shortening
4 eggs, beaten
1 (1 lb.) can pumpkin
2/3 c. water
3 1/3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
2/3 c. chopped walnuts
2/3 c. chopped dates
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening together.
Stir in eggs, pumpkin and water.
Sift dry ingredients; add gradually.
Add nuts and dates.
Fill two greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
