Hot Mulled Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. apple cider
    1 c. brown sugar
    9 whole cloves
    9 whole allspice
    4 cinnamon sticks, broken into 1-inch pieces
    2 lemons, thinly sliced
Preparation
    Tie cloves, allspice and cinnamon in a cheesecloth bag.
    Place in 5-quart electric Dutch oven or large percolator with cider and sugar.
    Simmer 5 minutes.
    Set control to warm to keep cider hot. Before serving, remove spice bag and float lemon slices.
