Ingredients

7 qt. apples, cut and sliced
4 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. cornstarch
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
10 c. water
3 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation

Put apples in jars.
Cook the rest of ingredients (except lemon juice) and bring to a boil.
Boil until thick and transparent.
Add lemon juice.
Pour over apples in jars and cold pack for 20 minutes.
