Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. Wesson oil
    2 to 2 1/2 lb. round steak (1 to 1 1/2 to 2-inches thick)
    2 onions, sliced
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can Hunt's whole tomatoes
Preparation
    Combine flour, salt and pepper.
    Pound seasoned flour into both sides of round steak. Cook onions in Wesson oil until tender; remove and set aside. Brown meat in oil; drain fat.
    Top meat with onions and tomatoes. Cover and simmer 2 to 3 hours or until meat is tender. Thicken sauce, if desired, and season to taste.
    Serve with potatoes, rice or noodles.
    Makes 6 servings.
