Southern Fried Chicken - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. chicken parts
1 Tbsp. chicken fat or oil for frying
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. seasoned salt
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
1/4 tsp. onion or garlic powder
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1/2 c. water
Preparation

Select a large, nonstick skillet with a tight fitting lid. Remove all skin and visible fat from chicken.
Combine flour and spices in plastic bag or bowl.
Shake or roll chicken in seasoned flour.
Coat all chicken before heating oil, then heat oil in skillet and add chicken.
Brown over medium heat about 10 to 12 minutes per side until golden brown on all sides.
Add 1/2 cup water to chicken.
Cover tightly.
Cook over low heat for 30 minutes.
Remove cover.
Turn up heat and cook off remaining liquid.
