Butterscotch Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. nuts
Preparation
    Cook butter and sugar together until smooth and well blended. Cool until lukewarm.
    Add egg (unbeaten); beat well.
    Add flour sifted with baking powder.
    Add vanilla and nuts.
    Bake in oven at 350\u00b0 until done.
    Cut into squares; cool before removing from pan. Yields 24.
