German Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs (3 if small)
    2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. salad oil
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 to 1 c. English walnuts
    4 c. apples, thinly sliced
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together with a spoon, do not use beater. Batter will be stiff.
    Spread into floured, greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 60 minutes.
    Serve with whipped cream or frost with icing.
