Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans minced clams (3/4 lb.)
    1 c. chopped onions
    1 c. diced potatoes
    3/4 c. margarine
    3/4 c. flour
    1 qt. half and half
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Drain juice from clams and pour over vegetables in medium saucepan. Add enough water to barely cover; cover and simmer over medium heat until potatoes are tender. Add flour to melted margarine in saucepan; stir until blended, then add half and half. Whisk over heat until smooth and creamy. Add vegetables and clam mixture until heated through. Season with salt, pepper and sugar.
