Tacos - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium sized onion, chopped (1/2 c.)
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 lb. ground round or chuck
    1 large tomato, peeled and chopped (1 c.)
    1 tsp. leaf oregano, crumbled
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    vegetable oil (for frying)
    1 pkg. frozen tortillas (12)
    1 small head lettuce, shredded (about 2 c.)
    2 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded (8 oz.)
    3 medium sized tomatoes, peeled and chopped
    bottled hot pepper sauce
Preparation
    Make Beef Filling:
    Saute onion and garlic in the 2 tablespoons of oil until soft, about 5 minutes.
    Add ground beef and cook until brown.
    Add tomato, oregano, salt and pepper.
    Cook, stirring frequently, about 10 minutes or until thick and heated thoroughly.
