Stuffed Grape Leaves - cooking recipe
Ingredients

40 to 50 grapevine leaves
1 c. rice (uncooked)
1 lb. ground beef or lamb
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. lemon juice
water (to cover)
Preparation

Soak grape leaves in warm water for 10 minutes to soften. Combine remaining ingredients (except lemon juice and water) in bowl and mix well.
Take 1 leaf, place shiny side down and fill with 1 teaspoon of meat mix at base of leaf.
Roll into finger shape (firmly).
Place into pan in layers, alternating the direction of each layer.
Add water to cover leaves.
Bring to a boil, then add lemon juice.
Lower heat and simmer for approximately 45 minutes until water is almost completely absorbed.
