Gingersnap Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 Tbsp. ground ginger
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream shortening until soft; gradually add sugar, creaming after each addition until mixture is fluffy.
    Beat in the egg, then add molasses.
    Measure flour, ginger, soda, cinnamon and salt into sifter.
    Sift dry ingredients over creamed mixture and blend well.
