Soda Cracker Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    4 egg whites
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    16 salted soda crackers, rolled fine (in plastic bag)
    3/4 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    whipped cream
Preparation
    Melt the butter in a pie plate; coat.
    Beat the egg whites with the cream of tartar and the sugar.
    Roll the crackers fine; add to egg whites.
    Add the pecans and vanilla.
    Pour into pie plate.
    Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool; spread with whipped cream.
    Chill 1 hour.
