The Demon'S Float - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. sugar, divided
1 c. sifted cake flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. plus 3/4 tsp. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c. plus 1 1/2 tsp. cocoa
1 c. boiling water

Preparation

Sift together 3/4 cup sugar, cake flour, baking powder, salt and 1 teaspoon plus 3/4 teaspoon cocoa in large bowl.
Add milk, melted margarine and vanilla to dry ingredients, beating at medium speed of an electric mixer until mixture is smooth.
Stir in chopped pecans.
Pour batter into well-greased 9-inch square baking pan.
