Strawberry Dessert - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 pt. strawberry ice cream
3 c. water
3 pkg. (3 oz. each) strawberry flavor gelatin
For garnish: whipped cream and fresh strawberries and raspberries
Preparation

Refrigerate the ice cream 30 to 40 minutes to soften.
Have an 8 cup decorative ring mold ready.
Bring water to boil in a large saucepan.
Remove from heat, add gelatin and stir with a rubber spatula until completely dissolved.
Stir in softened ice cream until completely dissolved.
Stir in softened ice cream until blended and smooth.
Pour into ring mold and refrigerate at least 8 hours until firm.
To unmold, dip mold up to the rim in warm not hot water.
Invert serving plate over mold.
Turn right side up and shake mold gently from side to side to release dessert.
Garnish with whipped cream and berries.
Yields 8 cups, 12 servings.
