Potato Almond Patties - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. water
1/3 c. milk
2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. margarine
1 1/2 c. instant mashed potatoes (dry)
1/3 c. chopped green onion with tops
2 Tbsp. finely chopped almonds
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
Preparation

Heat water, milk, salt and margarine to boiling in 2-quart saucepan.
Remove from heat, stir in potatoes and onions; whip with fork until thick, cool.
Shape potatoes into 6 patties, each about 3 inches in diameter.
Mix almonds and flour and coat each patty with almond mixture.
To serve, heat margarine and oil in skillet until hot.
Cook patties until brown, turning once or can refrigerate for 48 hours until ready to serve.
