Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 c. miniature marshmallows
    2 c. chopped peanuts (I use unsalted peanuts)
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 container Cool Whip
    3 apples, peeled, cored and chopped in small pieces
Preparation
    Drain crushed pineapple.
    Add 1 tablespoon cornstarch to juice; mix well.
    Bring to a boil, along with sugar, lemon juice and egg.
    Let cool, then add the pineapple, apples, marshmallows and peanuts.
    Add Cool Whip and fold all ingredients together. Let set in refrigerator overnight; stir before serving.
