Savory Meat Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. chopped onion
2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
2 c. diced cooked vegetables (fresh or leftover carrots, potatoes, peas, corn or celery)
2 c. diced cooked meat (beef, lamb, veal)
1 1/2 to 2 c. well seasoned gravy, thinned with vegetable juices from cooking
pie crust
Preparation

Saute onion and green pepper.
Combine in 2-quart baking dish lined with pie crust.
Add meat, vegetables and gravy.
Heat at 425\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Cover with pie crust.
Cut slits in top for steam to escape.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 6 servings.
