Pear Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium ripe pears, cored and sliced
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar, packed
    1 Tbsp. dark rum
    1/4 c. dried tart cherries, cranberries or raisins
    2 Tbsp. unsalted butter, cut in small pieces
Preparation
    In 1 1/2-quart ovenproof bowl, toss pears with rum and dried fruit.
    Set aside.
    In separate bowl, combine flour and sugar; cut in butter until crumbly.
    Sprinkle over pears, tossing gently to mix.
    Bake until crumbs are browned and pears are tender, about 30 minutes.
    Spoon into serving bowl, top with flavored or plain whipped cream, if desired.
