Scripture Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. butter (Psalm 55:21)
1 c. sugar (Jeremiah 6:20)
6 eggs (Isaiah 10:14)
4 1/2 c. flour (1 Kings 4:22)
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. allspice (2 Chronicles 9:9)
4 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. milk (Judges 14:18)
2 Tbsp. honey (Judges 14:18)
2 c. figs, chopped (Song of Solomon)
2 c. raisins (2 Samuel 2:3)
2 c. almonds (Numbers 17:8)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Cream the sugar and butter until very light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Sift together all dry ingredients.
Add alternately with milk to batter.
Stir in honey.
Fold in raisins, figs and almonds.
Mix well.
Turn into greased 9 x 5 1/3-inch loaf pans (two).
Bake 60 minutes.
