Shrimp Marinara - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 (28 oz.) can diced tomatoes (undrained)
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. dried basil
    1 tsp. dried parsley flakes
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. dried oregano
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 tsp. garlic clove
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 lb. uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
    hot cooked spaghetti
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, saute onion in oil until tender. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes or until thick and bubbly, stirring frequently. Add shrimp. Cover and simmer for 4 to 5 minutes or until shrimp turn pink. Serve over spaghetti. Makes 4 servings.
