Pineapple Heaven - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix with pudding
    1 c. sugar
    1 large can crushed pineapple
    1 large pkg. instant vanilla pudding
    1 large container nondairy frozen whipped topping
    coconut or nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Mix cake according to box.
    Use a 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Before cake is done, mix sugar and pineapple.
    Bring to a boil for 5 minutes.
    When cake is done, pour mixture over cake while both are hot.
    Cool cake completely.
    Mix pudding by box directions and spread over cake.
    Cover with whipped topping and add coconut and nuts on top.
    Refrigerate.
