Linda Johnson'S Minestrone Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 slices bacon, finely chopped
    1 c. chopped onions
    1 1/2 soup cans water
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, undrained
    1 1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. uncooked ditalini (chopped spaghetti)
    2 large cloves minced garlic
    1 tsp. crushed basil leaves
    1 c. cut cabbage
    1 can beef broth
    1 c. cubed zucchini
    1 can bean with bacon soup
Preparation
    Brown bacon, cook onion and celery together with garlic and basil until tender.
    Stir in soups, water, tomatoes, ditalini and salt.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cover, reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes. Add cabbage and zucchini.
    Cook 10 minutes or more.
    Stir occasionally.
    Makes 8 cups, 165 calories per cup.
