Lemon Sponge Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    grated rind and juice of 1 1/2 lemons
    3 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Add lemon rind and juice to egg yolks which have been beaten thick.
    Mix the flour with sugar and stir smoothly into egg mixture.
    Add the milk gradually.
    Beat egg whites stiff, but not dry and fold into pudding mixture.
    Pour into shallow 1-quart baking dish.
    Set in pan of cold water and bake 45 minutes in moderately slow oven (325\u00b0).
    Cakelike top with custard on bottom. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
