Vegetable Juice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. chopped ripe tomatoes
    4 stalks chopped celery (including leaves)
    1/8 c. minced parsley
    1 chopped onion
    1 chopped leek (optional)
    1/4 tsp. ground allspice
    1/2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 lemon, sliced thin
    1/2 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 c. carrots, finely chopped
    1/4 c. green pepper, finely chopped
    black pepper, freshly ground
Preparation
    Mix vegetables in large kettle; cook 30 minutes.
    Put through a sieve, then add seasonings.
    Chill and serve, or heat and can in sterilized jars.
    Makes 6 quarts.
