Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    2 medium onions, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced or 1 tsp. minced garlic
    2 (28 oz. each) cans tomatoes
    2 (6 oz. each) cans tomato paste
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 tsp. sweet basil, crushed
    2 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1 lb. spaghetti
    4 to 6 qt. boiling water
Preparation
    In a large saucepot or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef, onions and garlic until beef is brown and onions are tender (about 5 minutes). Stir frequently. Drain off excess fat.
    Stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, 1 tablespoon salt, basil, sugar and chili powder.
    Heat to boiling.
    Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
