Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. coarsely chopped apples, peeled
1 c. sugar
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 egg
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Combine apples and sugar in a large mixing bowl.
Let stand 10 minutes.
Sift flour.
Add soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice; set aside.
Blend oil and egg into apple sugar mixture. Add dry ingredients, stirring just until blended.
Fold in raisins and nuts.
Spread evenly in greased 8-inch square pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes.
Cool 10 minutes.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Yields 6 to 8 servings.
