Skillet Pork Chops 'N Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1/4 c. sliced celery
    4 pork chops (1/2-inch thick)
    salt and pepper
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 c. regular uncooked rice
Preparation
    Lightly saute onion and celery in oil.
    Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper; add to skillet and brown on both sides.
    Remove chops.
    Add water, brown sugar, salt, pepper and 1 1/2 cans tomato sauce.
    Stir and bring to boiling point.
    Add rice and stir. (There will be a lot of liquid, but rice will absorb it.)
    Return chops to skillet, cover and simmer 30 minutes.
    Pour on remaining tomato sauce, cover and cook 15 minutes longer.
    Makes 4 servings.
