Mexican Cornbread With Ground Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 chopped onion
    1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes
    1/2 lb. grated sharp cheese
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    1 c. cream-style corn
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 beaten eggs
    1/4 c. bacon grease or oil
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Brown meat and onions; add tomatoes.
    Mix cornmeal, cream-style corn, salt, soda, eggs, grease and milk.
    Heat iron skillet in oven.
    Pour 1/2 cornmeal mixture into skillet, 1/2 meat and 1/2 cheese.
    Repeat with second layer.
    Bake 1 hour in 350\u00b0 oven.
    Cut into wedges to serve.
