Hard Christmas Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    1 1/2 c. light Karo syrup
Preparation
    In a large saucepan on medium heat cook and stir until sugar dissolves.
    Boil without stirring until temperature is 310\u00b0 (about 1/2 hour).
    Remove from heat.
    Add 1 bottle Loring Flavor oil of your choice and red or green food coloring.
    Line a cookie sheet with foil and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
    Pour mixture onto cookie sheet and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
    Let cool.
    Break into pieces and store in airtight containers.
    Try 1/2 of boiled mixture with 1/2 bottle cinnamon and red coloring.
