Elisabeth Sansom'S Baked Creamed Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chicken fat or margarine
    approximately 1/2 c. flour
    1 can mushroom soup, diluted with 1 can milk
    salt and pepper to taste
    Waverly crackers (about 1 inner pkg.)
    2 chickens, cooked with celery and onion, cubed
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Stir in flour.
    Add chicken broth slowly and mix well.
    Add soup and soup can of milk.
    Salt and pepper to taste. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened.
