Vinegar Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. allspice
    9-inch pie shell
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    2 c. water
    1/4 c. vinegar
    2 eggs
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Combine sugar, flour, salt and spices in heavy pan; mix thoroughly.
    Add water, vinegar and eggs; beat vigorously with rotary beater for a few minutes.
    Cook until thick, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat and stir in butter.
    Pour into a baked 9-inch pie shell.
    Cool.
    Serve plain or with whipped cream.
