Apple-Pecan Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    Topping (see recipe)
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    3/4 c. warm water
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. liquid nondairy milk
    1/4 c. shortening
    2 1/4 c. flour
Preparation
    Prepare topping.
    Dissolve yeast in warm water in large mixer bowl.
    Add sugar, salt, nondairy milk, shortening and 1 1/4 cups of the flour.
    Beat 2 minutes on medium speed, scraping bowl frequently.
    Stir in remaining flour; continue stirring until smooth.
    Drop batter by tablespoonfuls onto topping in pan. Cover; let rise in warm place until double, about 1 hour.
