A Tasty Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 to 4 lb.) lean beef rump roast
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 tsp. salt (optional)
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 bay leaves
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/2 tsp. rosemary
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1 c. whole cranberry sauce
    1 c. water
    2 cooking apples, peeled and sliced
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Brown roast on\tall
    sides in oil in a Dutch oven.
    Add seasonings,
    onion, cranberry sauce, water and apples.
    Simmer 1 1/2
    to
    2 hours.
    Remove meat from pan.
    Combine cornstarch and vinegar.
    Stir into liquid in pan.\tHeat to boiling.
    Stir until thickened.\tServe with noodles or rice.
