Quail On Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 pt. milk
    1/4 c. shredded pimento
    2 c. cooked quail, cut into small pieces
    salt to taste
    paprika to taste
    mace to taste
Preparation
    Cook the butter and flour in saucepan for 2 minutes.
    Add the milk and mace until you have a smooth, creamy sauce.
    Stir into this the quail.
    Heat thoroughly.
    Add salt and paprika.
    Put generously on toasted slices of bread.
    Place shredded pimento on top and serve on a platter.
