Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 or 3 slightly beaten egg yolks
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 (9-inch) baked pastry shell
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 c. milk, scalded
Preparation
    If desired, add 1/2 cup well-drained pineapple.
