Steak Roquefort - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 (8 oz.) New York strip or rib eye steaks (1 1/2-inches thick)
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 to 3 shallots, chopped
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
    1/3 c. Chablis or other dry white wine
    1 c. whipping cream
    1/2 c. Roquefort cheese
    3 green onions, chopped
    1/2 c. walnuts, toasted
Preparation
    Sprinkle steaks with salt and pepper.
    Cook steaks in a medium skillet over medium heat for 8 minutes on each side or to a desired degree of doneness.
    Remove steaks to a serving platter, discarding drippings in skillet.
    Set steaks aside and keep warm.
