Manicotti - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium onion, chopped
2 to 4 cloves garlic, pressed
1/2 lb. ground beef or Italian sausage
2 Tbsp. olive oil
2 (16 oz.) cans tomatoes, chopped
2 Tbsp. tomato paste
1 tsp. each oregano and thyme
1/4 tsp. each salt and pepper
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
1 (10 oz.) pkg. chopped frozen spinach
16 oz. Ricotta cheese
8 oz. grated Parmesan
1 tsp. dried basil
1 (8 oz.) pkg. manicotti shells
8 oz. grated Mozzarella
Preparation

Sauce:
Saute onion, garlic and meat in olive oil.
Add tomatoes and spices; cook slowly until thick.
